It has a rich, roasted chile flavour with the trademark smokiness of chipotles. The pequin and arbol peppers kick the heat up a notch above most chipotle sauces. You’ll find plenty of dry roasted chile chunks lending a thickness to the sauce, making it a great condiment. Put standoff on anything from tamales to tofu.
